Maybe in the U.S. but not in Canada for the Navi on a '99.

Mad Laker, as WilW pointed out, Navi WAS an option on the 3.2 TL in 1999. That was the first year and it had that stupid regional data card instead of the DVD based system we have now. It's a long story, but I had to travel from Arizona to California to get a Firepepper Red/Ebony/Navi. On the drive home, I found the database useless as soon as I crossed the border. My first stop upon rolling into Phoenix was at Scottsdale Acura to get the data card reprogrammed for my home territory.

The only factory option from '99-'01 was Navi. On-Star was available on the TL in '03.
Speaking of GM: The 3.0 CL's and Accords came from the factory with Delphi alternators. They are/were junk. No wonder Delphi (and GM) are teetering on the brink of bankruptcy.

okcta, I had a '99 TL and the Navi wasn't a factory option back then. If you had On Star somebody added it. I have a '06 TL now and love it. I had a black '99 with a black interior. The new one is white with a black interior. I considered the parchment but thought ot would be hard to keep clean. Seems I was correct. Love those Acura's. My bride has a sweet Civic Si Coupe. I put mags and low profiles on it to really make it stand out. It does!!!

NBP = Nighthawk Black Pearl. My 2001 was that color with the parchment interior. Looked sweet sitting on the dealership floor, but it was a pain to keep clean once I got it home.

What does "NBP" mean? No Brake Pedal? Seriously, keep in mind that the 99-03 TL had frequent transmission issues. My Acura dealership in ATLanta has replaced 400-500 during the last six years.
Fortunately, American Honda has wisely chosen to extend the warranty to 100,000 miles.
The ironic thing is: The transmission is the only part of the car that is built exclusively in Japan! The rest of the parts are of North American origin and, of course, the car is assembled in Ohio.
For the record, I own a 2000 TL with 80,000 miles.

I owned two 2nd generation TLs...a 1999 Navi and a 2001 Navi. I still think that body style was the best, even though I love my 2004.
The one thing that annoyed me about the 2003 TL was the fact that it came with OnStar. Get that GM stuff out of our Acuras!
